I am researching my husbands family. I have traced it back to Eidbo. I read in one of your messages that someone has some historical records about the farm. I have some aeriel photos dating from about 1950. They show outlines of where older buildings once stood. I would be very grateful if someone could help me put some information together either about the farm or better still the people who lived there.

Does anyone know where I could find a copy of the lyrics to “Psalm” played by Jan Garbarek on “Twelve Moons,” which were written by Elling Hansen? Norwegian or English would be nice.

Thanks for response.
Have rechecked with the pedigree (“slektsregister”) and learned that Elling Hansen, Eidbo born 1850 and my grandfather Anders Pedersen born 1847 are cousins.
They are grandchildren of Peder Hansen Eidbo born 1777 – 1848.

I have only visited Eidbo once to see where my forefathers lived for many generationes.

Hello Lars,

I am a grand daughter of Elling Ellingsen and Sigrid Hansen, Olaf and Martin were my uncles and I think that Elling Hansen was my great grandfather. I have been in Norway at Eidbo and know some of the “tremenning” or third cousins. What is a “sleksregister”? If your grandfather Anders Pedersen and Sigrid Hansen were cousins, who were they related through? The books from Dypvag’s Kirke with the family history is with my sister so I can’t look up the names of Sigrid’s relatives.

Anyway, it’s nice to here from you! Who do you know at Eidbo? I was there a year ago in the summer, but for such a short time that I didn’t get to see many relatives.

my name is Lars H Eiding born 1951
my family is from Eidbo, outside Tvedestrand, Norway
i am in possession of the “slektsregister” created by Elling Hansen, Eidbo and Morten Perleff (Pedersen, Staubo) in 1921
on page 50 F.13 we have Sigrid Hansen born dec 30, 1891 who married Elling Ellingsen, Eidbo born sept 10, 1889 at Eidbo

their shicldren were;
a)Olaf Elling born march 18, 1918
b)Arnold Martin born oct 14 1919

i have noted that in fact there were three children mentioned from this page

my grandfather Anders Pedersen born 1947 at Sandoya – not far from Eidbo and Staubo
my father Lars Mathias Pedersen born 1900 – 1967 changed familyname to Eiding – he and is older brother Alf wanted to have a name related to Eidbo
think my grandfather Anders Pedersen and Sigrid Hansen are cousins

would be nice to hear from you – who is your grandparents?
